They are just like consultations in the clinic! We check in on my main concern, progress and goals along with going through the exact exercises I need to do to feel great.Mary53 year old, staying strong and young
John explains why he loves using online consultations and answers many of the questions we often get around online consultations:
Initially I thought an online consultation would be different, but since Exercise Physiology gives you the tools and exercises to make you feel and move great (and doesn’t rely on hands-on therapy) they’re just like in the clinic! They were also able to share educational videos and images on their screen to help me understand my conditions and injuries. I’m happy I still get to see my favourite practitioner, all from the comfort of my own home.
I have a real feeling that I’m on track and in control of my health, even in this uncertain time and it’s reassuring to know I have the support of my practitioner and the Tailored Health team. This way I get to stay on the front foot with my health. I’ve made good progress in the last month and want to keep the momentum going with managing my health conditions and back injury. The last thing I want to do is go backwards!
We are face to face discussing my progress, my main concerns, goals, exercise program, and what to focus on next. We even go through my exercises (like a workout in the clinic) and any movement tests required, all guided by my practitioner with a video of exactly how to do it playing on the screen.
I already had the app, Physitrack, for the online consultation downloaded on my phone (i-Phone or Android). I’ve also tried them on my i-pad. I’m told if you don’t have the app on your phone or i-pad you can use any computer that has a web camera.
Starting the call was easy! All I had to do was have the app open at the consultation start time and my practitioner called me and away we went.
I’ll be honest, I’m over 70 years old and was apprehensive about the technology, however at my first online consultation I was guided step by step by my practitioner making the process stress free. Tailored Health also provided me with any key information I needed before the consultation.
If you’re concerned about safety, I know I was, all online consultation video calls are encrypted and super safe.
